He [ C ] choked, he's so mad but he [ Dm ] won't. Give up that easy, no, he won't have it he [ Bb ] knows. His whole back's to these [ C ] ropes, it don't matter he's [ Dm ] dope. He knows that but he's broke, he's so stagnant he [ Bb ] knows. When he goes back to his mobile [ C ] home, that's when it's. This whole rhapsody [ Bb ] better go capture this moment.

And [ C ] hope it don't pass him. You better [ Dm ] lose yourself in the music. The moment, you own [ Bb ] it, you better never let it [ C ] go. You only get [ Dm ] one shot, do not miss your chance to blow. This [ Bb ] opportunity comes once in a [ C ] lifetime, yo. This [ Bb ] opportunity comes once in a [ C ] lifetime. His [ Dm ] soul's escaping, through this hole that is gaping.

This [ Bb ] world is mine for the [ C ] taking, make me king. You can see B-Rabbit holding it during a scene where he is riding the bus.

You can get a closer look at them below. Back in when Lose Yourself was nominated for an Oscar, Eminem decided not to perform it at the ceremony. After winning, this marked the first time in 14 years that the winner of Best Original Song was not performed at the Oscars.

At the time this was a pretty bold move for the Academy Awards who usually went for tamer choices like Sting or Elton John. Barbara Streisand announced the award and co-producer Luis Resto accepted it. When the winner was announced, Eminem was actually at home, asleep with his daughter. Check out footage of Barbara Streisand presenting the award below.

Do you know who they were talking about having perform it? Is there anyone you think would have been good? It probably would have been weird to have someone else do it. Maybe 50 Cent, who you mentored and whose major-label debut had just come out at the time?

Oh sh—! Back to last night, did you enjoy it? I got to hug Salma Hayek! It was a pretty elaborate band, with several musicians and a string section. How long did you rehearse? We flew in [to Los Angeles] last week, so we probably have four or five rehearsals just to make sure we got everything right. Most of the rehearsals were offsite, not in [the Dolby Theater], just trying to keep it secret. Why was it so important to keep it secret?

There was a lot of stuff that was not, um… It was a lot of work, and it being my first film I was not really expecting that. What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud.

He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out. He's chokin', how, everybody's jokin' now. In fact, the lyric goes as follows:. Snap back to reality, ope there goes gravity. Ope, there goes Rabbit, he choked. He's so mad, but he won't give up that easy? He got the nickname from his mother in the film, played by Kim Basinger, because she said he had buck teeth like a rabbit when he was a child. So, there you go. This is another lyric where you could probably just shrug it off, but this actually played a major part in the film as well.

The lyric in question is as follows:. It don't matter, he's dope, he knows that, but he's broke. He's so stagnant, he knows, when he goes back to this mobile home. That's when it's back to the lab again, yo.
